We don’t sell “luxury experiences”. We match the car to the job: number of people, luggage, and whether you’re going to Heathrow at 4am or collecting a family from Gatwick.

Our standard airport and local cars are suitable for up to four passengers with normal holiday luggage — typically a couple of large cases plus smaller bags, depending on bag size.
We often use a Toyota RAV4 on these jobs. It’s a practical choice for most Heathrow and Gatwick runs when the passenger count stays at four or under.
We normally recommend the Mercedes Vito for larger groups with several suitcases. It also helps when four adults each have large cases and you don’t want to force everything into a smaller boot.
Airport Vito prices are listed separately on the rates page (for example Heathrow from £110 return booking, Gatwick from £170).

We’ll say whether the standard car is fine or whether the Vito is the sensible option. Getting this right before travel is easier than rearranging on the day.
Child seats can be arranged subject to availability. There’s a small charge on the rates page. Tell us the child’s age when you book so we bring the right seat.
Spires Taxis is a licensed private hire operator with Oxford City Council. Journeys are pre-booked. Drivers and vehicles used on licensed work meet the requirements that apply to private hire in Oxford.
If you have more than four passengers, or four passengers with a lot of luggage — for example several large suitcases plus cabin bags. We normally recommend the Vito for larger groups with several suitcases.
We allocate a suitable licensed vehicle for the booking. If you need the Vito, say so when you book so we price and plan for that.
