General Terms

Booking and Service Terms

These terms apply to all bookings made with Spires Taxis Oxford.

📋

All bookings are subject to driver and vehicle availability
We recommend booking in advance, especially for airport transfers and peak times
Bookings can be made by phone, WhatsApp, email, or through our Customer Portal
You will receive confirmation of your booking via your preferred contact method
Please provide accurate pickup and destination addresses, dates, and times

💰

Fares are quoted at the time of booking and are based on the information provided
Airport transfer rates are fixed prices as displayed on our rates page
Payment can be made by cash, card, or contactless payment in the vehicle
For return journeys, you may be required to pay the first leg plus half of the second leg upfront, with the remainder paid on return
All prices are in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable

Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change your booking
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup may incur a cancellation fee
No-show charges may apply if you fail to appear at the scheduled pickup location
Changes to booking details (times, addresses, etc.) should be communicated promptly
We reserve the right to charge additional fees for significant changes to bookings

⏱️

We allow reasonable waiting time at pickup locations (typically 5-10 minutes)
Additional waiting time beyond the standard period may incur charges
Extra stops or route deviations may result in additional charges
Out-of-hours bookings (typically after midnight or before 6am) may incur surcharges
All additional charges will be communicated to you before the journey

🚗

All our drivers are licensed by Oxford City Council
Vehicles are regularly maintained and insured for private hire
We aim to arrive on time, but cannot guarantee exact arrival times due to traffic conditions
Flight monitoring is included for airport transfers
Luggage assistance is provided as standard

Additional Terms

🎓

Student discounts are available to Oxford University and Oxford Brookes University students with valid ID
Discounts must be mentioned at the time of booking
Valid student ID must be presented at the time of travel
Student discounts cannot be combined with other offers or promotions

Spires Taxis reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who is abusive, intoxicated, or poses a risk to driver safety
We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (traffic, weather, accidents, etc.)
Our liability is limited to the fare paid for the journey
These terms may be updated from time to time; the latest version will always be available on this page
By booking with us, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions
These terms are governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of English courts
